The weather man says we WILL be getting some good rain from tomorrow up until Sunday morning.

Will the trail handle the rain this year? I wouldn't want to go through a repeat of 2009...

Yip and the 'weathermen' are pretty good at predicting the weather whistling.gif - I won't worry about it till much closer to the time ....

Plus 1 , early prediction for Sundays 94.7 weather had us thinking if we did not have rain macs we would have to wrap ourselves in plastic bin liners.

Hi Guys...been a bit low key as time is a bit in short supply, no extensions here.. The Olympic Footwear 24 hour is a few hours away. The trails are absolutely awesome. I was doing some night laps on Tuesday and it just makes me realize how blessed we are to have such freedom and trails that hold your attention.

My crew lead by Dave have really done an awesome job with the camp sites. As a "style" we have each and every campsite on the race line. There will be enough space for all and we have increased the stand sizes. As we did last year, all camp sites are free and you are welcome to pitch tents etc as from Friday.Registration will be from 12 noon Friday. On- Line ( entry time) are closed but you are welcome to do line entries at registration or email.. bole@icon.co.za. The Cycle Hub will be open for last minute assistance but our mechanic will leave at a bout 4.pm on Saturday but we can make repairs with our roving mechanic on site....which we are working on.

The spinning class has been cancelled through lack of interest....a lot of enthusiasm but no action....

If...no when it rains.. I found the trails are slippery as can be expected but we have designed the trail away from that black mud...we don't want you to break your bikes...a bike wash is available as a self service (free) or you can go to our car wash and there it will be R20 this is to cover costs and a donation to the needy.

The girl/boy gifts you donate will be taken to the Children of Barra Burn Unit..on the 9th December through our selected charity..Ride 2 Raise.

Torinos Italian restaurant will be doing a " Ring and Bring" service for those of you on a Pizza or Pasta diet..Illy Coffee... Madam Marmalaide and Ceasar's Caterers on site and RIDERS FREE COFFEE STAND...with the awesome sponsorship from 32GI of a RIDERS FREE HYDRATION STAND..manned by MR CHEERFUL..Derrek Reineke. Guys this man is just awesome... so friendly and always on his post, what a bonus!!!

Some awesome entries this year. thanks guys and girls...the time she is coming to begin with the PIPES of the Africansky Pipe band leading the way... Fluit fluit my storie is uit...see you all soon

was there about 2 months ago, and went around the left, up the back of a big hill and along the top, heading sort of east (after riding through the forest).

from the start to the forest section was awesome though. I think I took a wrong turn and got stuck on an advanced route (after about 5 or 6km).

I think so. I got separated from my mates who i was riding with and they seemed to enjoy it, and didn't find the route i went on. haha

Check the yellow marker, I think i was somewhere either on that path, ended up doing about 20km or so.

Route last year was do-able for all levels, the twisty bits i found myself hugging almost every tree on a bend, trees might look fragile but i came off second best when i shoulder charged them.

Adds to the experience and looking forward to it thumbup1.gif
