Did a ride at NF yesterday and quite enjoyed it, even if it is a 67km drive from home in Magalies! What a pleasure to ride somewhere that is not full of rocks and corrugations! But is there a map available for the various routes? Got a blank look at the lady in the ticket office and did not see any around.

We were at NF yesterday too Mojoman, if I had known you could've come along with us!!

Let us know next time you're planning on doing NF and we can get a group together to show you around?! http://1.1.1.2/bmi/cdn.bikehub.co.za/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/thumbup1.gif

Thanks, we did Route 3, will try and do all the routes next time.

Did you guys do the trail next to the river?

I'm planning on heading out there on Sunday for some good distance and endurance training. Planning on +-50 to 60km ride.

Will happily show anybody around.

I have some routes on my garmin that I got off the garmin website. The longest I have been able to find so far is about 40Km, which I did this weekend, but there are a few side routes that I didn't try. I love NF its not very technical but still a lot of fun.

Northern Farm is my regular. I usually do a lap of the perimeter (route 1) as a warm up then get into the juicy bits with route 3 and then a bit of whatever tickles my fancy to close. Ended up with a 85km on Sunday with not too much repitition. There are some nice new trails and overall the place is looking great.

Please tell me you have GPS route of this route. I need to go do some distance training and NF is perfect for this.

Otherwise I can join you if you don't mind dragging another rider along when you do this route again.

Would route 1 be the longest singular route option then as opposed to route 3?

I dont have a GPS of this. I follow my nose, been riding there for years so I know it backwards

Route 3 is the longest, but its easy to combine a few of the tracks once you get used to the area

Mr Maxxis you welcome to join. I do all my distance training there. I see you organise the Slow and Unfit rides, ... I tend to give it stick

My 85km's last week was at an ave of 21.8km/h.

But I be willing to show anyone the ways of the Farm, however I wont be there until the weekend of the 24/25th. My rides are Sunday mornings..

Thank you kindly sir.

Ill see where I get to on Sunday. Need to do a min of 60km so my normal 50km route will get some extra bits added.
