Best place? Or cheapest place?

Not the same

Best Place?

CWC ... because the Tankman will install it for you and show you features that not even Garmin are aware of!

Make me laugh. 2 O-rings and 3 cable ties and maybe a wheel magnet called an install?

No you tjop, I actually set the unit up, explain the different functions, link the HR & Cadence sensors, customise the display screens according to the customers liking, disable auto lap, check the software is up to date, etc ... Oh yea and I also use the 2 o-rings and 3 cable ties to fit it all to the bike.

I know the Edge 500 backwards, been riding garmin for years and the Edge 500 since release, I am the manual.

;)

Some guys prefer to figure it out themselves, which is cool, others have no clue and wouldn't know half the functions existed unless shown.

If you don't want someone to show\tell you, that's fine by me too!

tjop? Like you are such a genius you can predict the screens someone who has never had a Garmin wants to see? I doubt it but am happy for you that you are a legend in your own lunch box.

So how do you set up heart rate? % of max or beats per minute? Oh, no wait, to set % we actually need to know the max and I wonder how you do this...

Auto lap is one of the more useful functions.... Ever done lap races/crits? Or 5km splits on a long ride?

On the other hand auto pause is absolutely useless as it creates a false sense of accomplishment/speed/fitness

Yes, tjop.

As I said, (read it again if you didnt understand the first time) I explain the different functions and customize the display to the customers liking, in other words I ask them what they would like to see, no predictions needed but some options are pretty standard/logical.

Again, I said I link the HR belt ... if you want to setup HR as a % or Max, it is pretty easy, pick from the list!

If you know your max HR, then great, if you dont, find out.

Yes plenty, I use if often on Killarney but then I use Auto Lap by start position.

The units are set with Auto lap on every 8km sometimes even 1km by default (odd number anyway) ... that is just irritating to have the Lap beep ever so often when you are not busy doing Lap races or crits.
