No Hare Posted November 14, 2012 Share Acetone should work. Get it from chemist. Other option is Autosol metal polish from motorcycle shop. Give your parts a nice rub at the same time. Make them all shiny. Acetone did not work, used a brush to paint the parts today. The paint started to blister but the glue will not dissolve. An easy, but not well know method of separating the bonding crystals formed is by means of sound waves. Use a set of earphones at full blast and move it over the bonded spot until you can feel it coming loose. It may take up to half an hour or more. You cant be serious!! Seriously? madvics Posted November 14, 2012 Share I paint cars for a living, have had many clients come in with similiar problems, sorry to disappoint you but I have yet to find something that can remove dried superglue from a paint job. Supposing that your theory could work it would have to be some music with a pitch that would excite the resonance of the super glue which is going to be quite low Im guessing... possibly something an earphone couldn't play...
