I have a Scott spark expert, cant seem to sell it as i want to to go hardtail. So i rather turn my duelie into a hardtail, but not sure what is the best way of doing it... Coincidently my rear shock valve broke off, so locking out isn't an option, I also want to do away with remote lock out system. what is the best way?

Yeah, the market for 26'ers is a bit slow at the moment, everyone wants wagon wheels.

I agree with Hennie. I also though at first to suggest improvising something to replace the shock with, so it's permanently locked out, but it might not be so good for the frame?

btw, I don't see your add for the bike, where do you have it advertised?

Thanks Jacquers, My bike is a 29er. I have advertised it on the hub twice now, however, i have taken it off now. Thw bike is in good nick (except for the rear shock) It is a carbon frame as well so i guess it could put pressure on the frame... I would love to swop it fir either XTC or similar, my frame size is Large, obviously some R's to exchange hands. Send me yout e mail address and I will mail you some pics.

Cheap & nasty way - get a piece of square tubing/round bar from builders. Drill to same centre to centre distance as the extended shock. Paint nice colours. Replace shock with nicely painted square tubing/round bar.

Not too sure what it'll do to the lugs on the frame/dynamics of the frame when impact occurs....

Ride at own risk....

Whatever you do, don't make an irreversible change... I think you might one day want a FS again and secondly you will never ever be able to sell the bike.
