Rode the two new trails above top Canary at Jonkers this weekend. What a blast - fast and flowy - we couldn't stop smiling for the next few hours. Also rode the recently (I think) refurbished Ellioty (spelling?) - brilliant. Also the fire hut trails down through the pine plantation. Schweet! as always.

Thanks to whoever the guys are who put so much work into these trails. thumbup1.gif

I rode them on Sunday.. the full Canary and Downhill.. will do Neverending Story next. What a blast.. !

Bennet is doing the work with the support of some good funding from the likes of Specialised and a few individuals, one of whom is Geniel de Villiers... yes, Dakar Rally fame.. Cape Pine needs some credit too for realising the worth in new trails!

Of course this is all possible through AMArider.

New trail marking boards are up and it's looking great with the specialised logo on! Want to ask if you guys have seen that the soil of the new upper canary trails are coming loose? Not erosion, but the soil is sandy so when it is dry it doesn't hold up...

Yes, saw that.. It will take some water, time and use before the layers are bedded in. Problem could be that he rock is exposed, that will take greater steps of intervention..

The speed into the corners is also not helping.. but give it time.. and water..
