I cannot believe how long those nose plasters have been around, worse than the power balance things.

Do people actualy buy them and believe they work (from a sporting perspective)

If that was true them the surely philomon platneus has the potential to be a world champion cyclist

Swiss........tried it yet?

It is spring loaded. So it practically opens the airway. Immediately.

At one stage it was compulsory for F1 drivers.....

So no placebo.....just a boring old 'spring'........

Nose strips make no difference to air entry to the lung, they may improve airflow to the upper airways when breathing solely through the nose, but otherwise make no difference to the amount of air that reaches the alveoli where gaseous exchange takes place. As per previous post you breath predominantly through your mouth when exercising anyway.

As stated in previous posts a lot of the pro's use Olbas oil on cotton wool shoved up each nostril during warm up (you would have seen Cadel Evans doing this dring the TdF). This can assist in alleviating any congestion in the upper airways if required.
