R1 per km per cyclist. Groenkloof is at R30 but then they have lots of other things going for it. van Gaalens? Northern Farm is also in this price range. If the coffee shop make legit coffee you will get lots of profit from the cyclists without even having to charge an entry fee.

as the famous movie said, "build it and they will come."

You're not going to make any money from a MTB trail. You will make money from the shop. So, price it so that people won't feel ripped off by the route (ie KEEP it cheap) and they will support the shop. A good example is Rosemary Hills - R20 for the route, and R30 for a 'bikers breakfast bun and coffee' - this is almost standard for cyclists, they won't do the route without eating :)

Thanks for the advice,if there is any one interested in riding the trail at no cost, other than for some feed back. Please let me know.It is still a bit ruff, but I have some friends who MTB coming to ride it tomorrow and hopefully with some advice from them the track will be open by the weekend. There is already an established tea garden which does light meals and has a great kids play facility,we are out in Kameeldrift. Thanks again can't believe the quick feed back
