Not sure what you have planned for the white walls, but Jeppe tyre vulcanize white walls onto tyres for classic cars.

Thanks for the tip, been looking for white wall paint, seems it's not easy to come by anymore, will knock on Jeppe Tyre's door.

That's a very cool build so far, what did you use for the fork legs?

used some old bicycle tubing and brazed drop outs onto the bottom, had to put a shim into the crown due to a very small difference in diameters. Busy with a new top crown, will post pic when its done.

In the week, I removed the steerer from the bottom clamp, so that it can be shortened. It's nice when you have the right tools. My brother has a milling machine that we could fit the clamps into and remove the welds, thereafter, some persuasion on the press, and off she came.

Need to have a very thin collar (1.4mm) made up to shim the new crown race, as the steerer is slightly smaller and the existing race is not suitable.

and an idea for bars. The stem need to be changed.

That top crown looks neat. I picked up some bars on Saturday from the Bike Hospital, though I'm not sure I'm going to make them work. They're 25mm, which I can make work on the clamps, but a brake lever becomes a challenge, as the clamp is 22.4mm.

I have the same issue with the bars diameter being too big for the stem, hence the need to find another stem.

The bike is stripped, parts ready for powder coat, paint and chrome, though I cannot get the front fender chopped until I've got the fork built, and it will also need to be powder coated.

Wanted to chop the rear fender, but found that the front works perfectly on the back, without any cutting needed. So the rear will be cut to make a front fender.

Triple clamp forks are the biggest challenge at the moment. They are available to import, and not even that expensive, but the shipping from the States is more than double the price of the fork. I think though that today I found a solution that will work, with some steel tube, clamps off a pit bike and some cutting and welding.

Edit spelling

I'm probably off to Europe end August so if you get better shipping to there I can bring em back
