Very nice looking, I've never seen a black one. I must chat to Patrick and find out when they came out like this. :)

 

What hoops are you running on that beast?

Hi from Portugal.

 

I've come here as there are very few Pygas in Europe at the moment so I'm hoping there is a larger pool of knowledge here to get advice from.

 

I'd would like to pick some of you Pyga owners' brains and compare some of your builds.

 

I'm getting a large OneTen29 frame and would like to build a sub 12.5Kg bike but at the same time keep costs sensible. My plan was to go full XT drivetrain with SLX brakes, Rockshox Revelation Forks (20mm axle) and Truvativ T30 cockpit.

 

I'm still undecided on wheels but was thnking of ArchEX on Hope Pro II Evo hubs (or similar) or Pacenti TL28 Rims on the Hopes. I believe both the Arch and Pacenti build to around 1900g for the wheelset. Tires will either be Rocket Rons or Ikons.

 

Do you think with the above spec I'd be below 12.5Kg?

 

What specs are you guys running and what sort of weights are your bikes coming in at?

Don't have a pyga but you can shed some weight by getting a lighter cockpit, seatpost and skewers. Swap out the shimano ice tech rotors for avid HS1's and that saves close to 100 grams alone.

The Large frame comes in at 3.38Kgs. The original PYGA's came with the white 140mm Revelation up front, but it seems like most of the new ones will be coming with the new black 130mm Revelation with black stanchions. It's a beautiful looking fork and matches the black on the PYGA frame nicely.

 

Are those black stancions custom specific for Pyga? It's it anodized or some other finish?

 

I've got a black revelation but normal sanctions which I had to search quite a bit for as all the after market ones are white. An all black fork will look stunning on the Pyga.

Yeah I'm looking at where I can shed a little more in the cockpit. The challenge is not to allow costs to sky rocket.

They are not custom specific. They are just the new Revelation's which Patrick has managed to get his hands on early.

I'm not sure what the finish is called, they look just as durable as the 'normal' finish.

Running Loaded hubs and Loaded rims. Very adaptable hubs for the 12x142 rear axle and 20mm thru axle up front.

Hmmm I wonder if they are going to be 2014 model retail versions or only available as OEM.

Hi guys,

 

A quick question: Can a OneTen run 156q GXP cranks? I'm looking at a frame and have an XX1 crankset that I'd like to take across onto it, but apparently the narrower Q factor has clearance issues with some FS frames (it's currently bolted onto a HT)...

 

Does anyone know?

Go to 1x10 with Oneup. Throw the front mech and shifter off, toss a chainring aside. I've never looked back.
