Is the difference between the Shova ST and the LT only the travel? What fork would you use on the LT? My budget isn't huge, I first need to sell my Mercury 1 frame and my Fox fork.

The ST is about 145mm and the LT 180mm

I'd say Fox 36, RS Lyrik, RS Totem, Marzocchi 66, depends on your budget. Not sure what the minimum travel is on that.

If you find a frame, I have a simple 150mm Manitou you can have for cheap.

Great, what do you think of the Shova LT frame in the frame classifieds?

Please PM me with the Manitou details and price?

It looks decent and a good price. I saw it previously and almost bought it. Then realised I had a bike for a similar purpose

It is quite an old model, R2K frame one, before the sexy Cnc on the swing arm but bargain price for what you get and still a bomb frame.

There was a newer white Shova Lt complete with good spec and nice condition for R10k , check the classifieds.

One of those you're dreaming up. That's pure porn.

Thanks, thought you'd beaten me to it.

Next step is to finish the design of the rear-triangle (that's a stock one).

Also whether I design for 26", 650B (also have some thoughts in order to quickly do a change between them, without stuffing up the geometry.)

Doesn't the Mojo HD have something like that?

They do. It's called limbo chips and it reduce / increase the shock's eye to allow for the change

Ok, my "design" will keep the amount of travel but rectify geometry changes of the wheel change.
