Feck. My (self) predicted rise from the depths of the TdF tipping comp is starting to look shaky.

Apparently Rolland bounced in each crash, Vockler is struggling, ZubZub is not looking great for tomorrow, Thomas is suffering badly, Bouhanni and Vande Velde hit the ground hard as well.

Tonight will be painful for a lot of riders. Hopefully everyone can pull up in time for tomorrow.

I think he is after a stage win to boost his confidence but he won't get a top 3 GC.

Wonder if its possible that AS might really be a contendor and has been sandbagging all of the time? Just imagine if he could pull that off.

Pretty good odds if you fancy a gamble with the bookies 33/1 up to 50/1

Tour rider power data:

Many of Flecha’s peak powers were on the 1.11km Cote de Sotta. The total time on the climb was 2min long riding the 4.8% gradient at 33.4kph average. His average power was 470w, 6.3 w/kg which was an effort above his threshold and using into his Vo2 ability to maintain the break’s lead as it tried to keep the gap on the main field.

Going to be interesting, good odds and I wonder if any of the fav's actually see him as a threat for GC and would be willing to let him slip the bunch for a stage. I see Frank is about to finish his suspension and both of them are up for contract renewals with the new licence holders. Would love to see how that goes. Word is that Frank could be scratching for a new dotted line to sign on next year and (m)andy is in for a pay cut.

"There are rules for a reason and there are exceptions made here and there. That's what I'm torn up about. I woke up half a dozen times in the night thinking it was a bad dream. I wanted to wake and hear it was a different story but it was bad to see things were still the same and that I was out of the Tour de France."
