Speed Machine for 06 April 2014

That is seriously hot! I've had the same issue with the spacers that I required for a proper fit, maybe look at a stem with a slight incline and lose the spacers. I had a carbon raleigh TT and got a nice raleigh branded MTB stem that I just turned around to get the desired nicline . Really looked the business and got the same fit, however be careful with too much of an incline. Just a few degrees.

the problem is its integrated bars and stem. Looking at new bars though then ill sort out.

I would have made the first lap the long lap

I think this is a safety issue, the organisers want a good look at people after the first lap, before they head out for the long leg.

I guess it might be, but who in their right mind is going to write in for a 3.9km swim if they can barely make 1.5km?

Anyways. it is what it is. Back to getting my TT rig ready for Slanghoek.

So I see my name is up on the registered athletes list :)

Looking forward to doing my 3rd Ironman. My last being in 2011

What number were you on the waiting list? I have a colleague who was no. 182 - wondering what his prospects are like.

No Problems

I heard the list is moving tho so I am sure there is hope for your mate. Unlike the 70.3 waiting list

So, I went to check the nr of registered athletes.....and there are still 33 spots available.

I was nr 126 on the list and received my email last week thursday. How can there still be so many spots available, if there are 600 people on the waiting list?

Was it a big hype to get entries, with the "hope" not to get an entry....and now that there are entries available people dont pay? Or is it that people now finally get the entry but doesnt have the cash right now to enter?
