It's kind of annoying that the nicest bike to be in my workstand in years does not belong to me.

I think you at least deserve to take it for a ride then

You should test out the suspension for her on that MONSTER drop on Airline. I'll test the brakes and tires skidding down the road from Avoriaz.

I was considering that, but it would mean having to take the pedals off my bike and put them on the YT... and I'm a lazy bastard.

Just use it like a Stryder... You'll certainly learn just how good (or bad) the suspension platform is. post-3245-0-28362700-1406113891_thumb.jpeg

Hahaha, doing that on a 'Goose takes balls... or rather the lack of balls. I'm sure the YT will be soft as a feather in comparison.

That isn't all that funny.... I slipped a pedal after hitting a stump at Cascades just before the Bombhole and collected a Spank Tweet Tweet Enema for my troubles. Battled to sit down for weeks.....

Anyone here taking Mineral oil with or is there a place to buy if need be?

After what happened last time I am considering taking an extra set of brakes. (I have slx's lying around so might as well take them. (Dont want to strip the hopes from the Intense). The cables are looong so might need a re-bleed if I have to shorten them IF I would need a brake swap.)

I can hear his balls banging against his bottom jaw.

Most bike shops near the DH parks are well equipped for brake bleeding, since they know they can charge you a quick €60 to bleed your brakes while you have lunch.

I got a litre bottle of the stuff. If you need some just shout.

I'll see if I can pack some and a bleed kit just in case. If you're careful you can do the brake line swap/shorten without needing to rebleed.

There's a guy called Jaff (Ginger Afro) in Les Gets. He's a decent guy and won't rip you off for brake bleeds and shock services. He's in the side road opposite the wooden pump track thingy.

You people owe me for this propriety info

If I remember correctly it's usually about 20 euro a side to have brakes bled. The problem is the mech's get pretty busy and the last thing you want to be doing is be holed up in your chalet watching the cars go up the hill whilst you wait for a brake bleed.

You just have to survive the ride to Les Gets sans breaks/brakes :whistling:

Haha. Presumably both won't go at once. Doing the 4x track with just a front brake would be.... um.... brave.

Any work done in any of the bike shops is going to kick you in the wallet tho. And that's not even counting the lost riding time.

So it's best to have your bike in tip top condition before you go.

@ Hayley. Pretty sure Avid Codes run dot fluid. Or do you mean for your SLX brakes?

They do indeed. I'll have an Avid bleed kit with me and will be charging Eur35 for re-bleeds  (you'll have to supply your own brake fluid). The price hike is to help afford a couple Mutzig's naturally.
