DR ◣◢ Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Thaba trails has it all, 16 green loop for the noob or do the black and chk if u run out of talent, prefer modders myself 44km loop. Thaba right next door if we didn't have tons of open trail it would be my hangout of choice. I'm sure Thaba is cool but since they have shittest route markings of any trail I've ridden in a long time I really can't be bothered.
Nofearnofun Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Thaba is cool, but PWC has its place for those looking to work on skills without jumping into a "long" ride. I enjoy streching the legs and doing a good 50km ride and nice trails like thaba, reitvlei, modders, northern farms, groenies, fountains, van Gaalen etc. but had a serious joll at PWC today! Had a relaxed 10km ride with plenty drop offs, gap jumps, Practiced some cornering and not to forget some fun on the pump track! I was very disappointed in the state of the park as I had not been there in over a year and it seems neglected. At the rate it seems to have disintegrated PWC might just be a sinking ship that won't be around much longer. (Just my opinion) Sad as I feel it makes an awesome skills park for those like myself trying to get into more of the gravity side of Mtb.

Think they were all on 'Rollercoaster'.Yea was there on Sat, rollercoaster is no more....pity, was a lekker ride. Zombie birdhouse is still there, but agree, general condition is not what it was a year ago. Basically spent most our time on zombie and the dirtjump track close to the trailhead. The jump section is still moerse fun though.

DR ◣◢ Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Pwc still worth a trip these days!? Should be. Last time I was there they started doing more maintenance on the trails. Hopefully they rebuild the roller coaster at some point. .
