I think its moronic to have a timing system where only a portion of entrants is timed. Useless to the people who don't get times for obvious reasons, useless for those who get times because their positions are only relative to those who had chips.

Would like a mtb system like SAS where your chip is on your bikeboard and everybody get times.

Isn't that just a chip anyway, what happens if I enter a race and don't have a board?

I once rode these trails two weeks after the race and it was indeed disgusting.

Blerrie (and i don't think I'm far off in saying this) dirt roadies!

The filth left behind on the Knysna MTB routes by riders is disgusting. Come on and respect the environment, u privileged to ride here.

I wanted to start a new thread about this but it would have been regarded as whining.

But the amount of rubbish I saw out there was disgusting. A black bag wouldn't have even been enough to pick it all up. I even saw a plastic cup about 1 or 2 kms from a watering point. Where on earth did they think they were going to store a cup. Why didn't they just dump it at the watering station :cursing:

Thats a disgrace and gets my blood boiling, i always get heated in these big rides when i see people littering. In the Recm 200 we were told anyone throws anything incl a banana skin on the ground you will be disqualified. I never saw one piece of rubbish for 3 days.

Just show you the type of person who enters these "social" races...far too uneducated IMHO!!

The bigger, more serious races / racers are starting to cotton on to keeping your environemnet clean.

Still much to learned by the masses who only cycles once in a blue moon...

Yeah I kind of agree with that BUT it also comes down to the organisers. At Knysna 200 they made a big big issue of this. This weekend I didn't hear anyone mention this issue Edited by fabes

+1

And it is usually the same guys who shout TRAAAACK, like a bliksemse 50cc 2 stroke when they are behind a lady, and then they race for their 835th position. Sigh.
