What is it about roadies that stops them from being friendly to fellow riders? I find MTB'ers will always smile or greet but roadies have some attitude, especially towards a set of straight bars and knobbly tires. I do both and on occasion I have stopped for some or other reason and most times MTB'ers offer help. With roadies it is head down and up yours most of the time.

They pass too many cyclists on a given ride. I would also get gatvol of waving every 3 mins.

But there is this whiff of cockness when you pass a roadie. Don't care anymore. I greet those who want to be greeted and bugger the rest.

For the last time...

There are two types of cyclists

1. True cyclists::: subdevided in road and mtb and ss/fixie etc

2. un-cyclists (dumbasses that own bikes)... also knows as a d**s on wheels, they dont greet and they litter on trails etc
