Depending on timing, I am in

Well then I will remain a Troep as I will be bringing 27 gears with me.

SS is not the only way to gain rank. Any service beyond the ordinary is welcomed. One Kevin Davie is our Honourary Patron, so anything is possible.

do you think we can organise Nigel from here to give us a tour trip as well ....

http://www.thehubsa....-fossils-stuff/

Nigel can only come if he can:

1. Tell us the average dip of the sandstone layers in the Swartberg Pass?

2. Explain when, ( in relation to continental drift drift), this folding happened?

3. What caused the folding if the continents were pulling apart?

He may, if he so chooses, answer the questions on-site. ;)

when?

next autumn?

No, this spring :) This could be a fun outing and if enough people show up, we could arrange a variety of options re routes and accomodation, length of ride etc..

The trip from Prince Albert sounds good but I personally am wanting to start in PMB. Will possible end off at Prince Albert and then go over the Swartberg to Oudtshoorn and catch a bus back to PTA. Anyone interested in this option?

It's a pity Hell and Back is so late in the year. Would be fun to go ride and then just keep going home from there....early November too hot?

Hi again,

You can do it very cheaply if you camp.

Train to PA road about R250

Night 1 Prince Albert no charge

Night 2 camping Gamkaskloof (Cape Nature rates, don't know how much)

Night 3 Rouxpos about R350 dinner, bed, breakfast and a moerse packed lunch and two of the nicest, most genuine people you will ever meet as your hosts

Night4 Anysberg camping (cape Nature rates)

Night 5 Montagu camping or B7B

....and so on

Ha! The eternal question. Start here http://ultralightcycling.blogspot.com/ and work your way around.

You can go up Die Leer with panniers, you'll just need to make two trips, or ferry your stuff up bit by bit. Harder and slower, but possible.
