That's a Friday subject.Obviously the BM guys are going to punt "their" motor, and the Nissan/Datsun guys theirs. Just ask yourself the question, when talking about modifying a car to go bloody quick, which motors are named before any BM motor? I'll tell you, the Nissan RB25/26 or the Toyota 1JZ/2J Z motors. Makes stupid power, and when done properly, very reliably also.Much cheaper to do than BMW motors. Edit; My humble opinion. In this order: reliability, power, potential Toyota 2jz - 600hp + on stock internalsBMW - Similar story as the 2j, depending on model can make plenty on stock bits...Nissan RB - Expensive to get right and reliable gummibear and Tromp 2
