Good day hubbers. I have a steel mtb frame and would like to know if I can mod it to a disc brake frame. This is for the rear brake. What would I need and can this be done?

Any info will help

I also did this with an adaptor. Very difficult to find these days and also frame dependant. This is the adaptor I used. Works fine.

There is another route you could follow too - cut off the dropouts and weld in a paragon slider - this comes with the brake mount attached to the slider.

I am planning to do this on an old frame I use in SS mode - thus the slider for chain tensioning.

did you bring it in from the states

Bought it online from Wiggle UK and had it posted here, no hassle at all, my frame did not have any bolt holes to use the adaptor that sepia used, so had to go for the clamp on adaptor.

Also is an aluminium frame, so did not want to go the welding route
