I have never done this one before....my first was the Heritage in Stellenbosch...say no more...

What can I expect? Serious rookie here!!!!

Nice flat and fast ride.

Little bump about half way - be ready for it because one can get caught out here.

And of course, prepare for some headwind on the return from Atlantis to Tableview.

We can hope that there won't be any, but the south easter is normally quite nasty over the bay.

Can anyone tell me how sthe chip thing works? I ordered a chip for the ARGUS but this one is also a Chipped race?

I have entered on line, so.....do I just pitch up on the race day?

No chip, no timing.

So, place chip on your ankle like a racing pigeon.

Your timing and result also determines grades your performance on the PPA seeding ladder.

Quite important if you're a regular racer as it is an incentive to improve and a credit to your training if you perform well (relative to the winning time).

If you ordered a chip for next year's Argus, go to the Racetec table on the morning and tell them. Hopefully they will have your details and give it to you.

Registration is at the venue on the morning, so yes, you just pitch up then and get your race sticker.

Edit: Just note that if you are not a PPA member, then you will not be timed for this event, regardless of whether you have a chip or not.
