But on the Advendurance website it indicates early bird entries close on the 18th August.

they fixed it, if you book today, you will see the early bird pricing come through. I booked a few hours ago at early bird rates.

I just hope the routes aren't like the previous one

Were the 40km rider's basically forced the 10 and 20 km rider's to stop so they can pass.

But then the very same 40 km rider's walking up the hills dont keep left and block the 70km rider's.

people were shouting and screaming almost saw 2 fights take place, must be honest that wasn't fun at all. We go riding for the fun, but if every race is going to be like this, il rather stick to road races, aleast the people aren't so violant.

the 70km not an easy 1, what i remember from last year.

That's for sure! Probably one of the most testing marathons around here, and over some great mountains overlooking the cradle.

At least its in September now, not the heat of Oct/No like previous editions.

Yes be warned this is probably the most technical in terms of descents there is up here. So better play it safe and walk it if you are not sure. I say this from painful experience where I body planted into a rock garden a few years ago, cracking some ribs in the process. But the biggest damage was to my ego.

How technical is the 40Km? I'm getting worried..

40k's is a walk in the park, might include the Daggapad descent though, that's probably the most 'technical'

Thanks, looking forward to it either way :D

Either way certainly a good opportunity to enjoy an event on the premier mtb location in GP, with the great organisation of Advendurance. Their (Van Gaalens) own events I don't tend to enjoy.
