Anyone read any good (cycling) books recently?

The Secret Race Tyler Hamilton

Yeah, I don't read much (in terms of books anyway) but that is the only book I've read this year... I've read it three times. And I'll read it again. Loved it.

Just decided to pick up on of the Walsh or Kimmage books.

The Secret Race Tyler Hamilton

I know I should read it, I know it's supposed to be awesome, I've even been given a copy but I have a real issue with supporting Tyler. He's still a doper that's never paid back any of his winnings and is now earning more coin than a lot of dedicated professionals in our sport who are working day in and day out, clean and striving.

Kudos for whistle blowing after being caught out but LA has been nailed to the cross for his part and TH is hired by momentum / discovery as a key note speaker... </end rant>

well don't see it as supporting TH, read it because its a good read, a really good insight into how it all went down if you didn't already know it.

For sure, I hear ya. Will have to push past the mental block especially as it's a shonky copy anyway. ;)

In search of Robert Millar is a great read.

Sex lies and handlebar tape Fascinating story about Anquetil.

Slaying the Badger. Very good.

Fallen Angel. One of the best cycling books I have read, about Coppi

Between the lines. Victoria Pendleton. Really enjoyed it

Hunger. Boring in my opinion.

Liked both books by the Roches but funny enough enjoyed Nicholas Roches book more.

Floyd Landis' book is quite good,

Tyler Hamilton's book is a b&moan session,

David Millar's book is also pretty good and he is quite honest about his doping. He tells the story as it is.

Cadel Evans' book is written for idiots. The grammar and story telling is definately for the American IQ
