You can buy a mass produced carbon frame for the same amount as these custom steel frames, not too sure where the showboating comes in

Here is the kicker though....some of these guys can build X amount of frame a year...that is it. Like Coconino, closed for production until Jan 2014. So even if you had the 2500 US, you still cannot have it.
