I think both times I've done somersaults my bike has gone with me....

Awesome to hear you are all okay :). Good excuse for new shoes, wife can't now complain

I know it takes away a lot of the effect when I say this :P , but I came off it relatively unscathed. Lucky, I guess...

My bike is fine as well. After the crash I duct taped my shoes and even still rode home.

Had a sore elbow and hip and a sore body on Sunday morning, but was back on the spinning bike by Tuesday.

That's what you get for riding spinning bikes. Sies!

See, some of my detail is obviously missing. My bike did come with me, but obviously only up to a point...

This is extreme. I think all MTB'ers have their own stories.

My friend's story goes something like this:

"When I finished the crash, I still saw my bike coming towards me!" (Location: Bassorra Farm, Broederstroom, USN Mtb Cup Race #3 2013). He was left with a 6cm gash to the bone on his left forearm.

I however did not have the privilege to witness his crash as my race was also abruptly ended (from 22km/h to 0km/h in 2m), went flying over handlebars, got up with one shoe missing as it was still cleated in on the bike. Completely bent big chain ring made sure I could not continue with the race.

The rest of the Hub should also have some terrifyingly amazing stories to share.......?

If ever someone has 'won' after a crash, it must be you!

You must have balls of steel
