Why spend thousands on bikes, aero helmets, hours of training only to lose 5-10mins taking pee breaks ... learn to pee on the bike and be comfortable with urine running down your leg.

Well for what its worth I have also perfected the pee whilst riding skill. The next step is to take a crap while riding. .

 

OK, OK, i finally get it. The real reason why no one drafst in triathlons. Far more believable reason than than that "Its illegal,...... and you are racing yourself" crud.

Give yourself plenty of time to get to the race start to avoid a rush, which will be good for the nerves as well as give you plenty of options of where to set up in the transition area.

"When buying goggles, push them against your face/eyes without putting the straps around your head. They should stick automatically, this will help to ensure a tight seal and good fit to avoid water leaking in to them during the swim. Every head/face is different, so what works for your friend won't necessarily work for you".
