tazman Posted August 28, 2006 Share What a ride!!! I was told that it was FLAT , JA RIGHT!!! But none the less, I had a nice ride, did it in 3:08 where I was expecting to be closer to the 3:30 mark. The kids also had a Great time at their ride, the only problem was that the youngest kids had to wait 'til LAST to start . Other than that, and also the price for the food , it was quite a nice day out. Sorry to the other Hubber that I missed at the race , we had to leave earlier as the kids were getting agitated. KayC, Cruxie, taz, Mr. J, Michelle. Congrats to the fast okes. We had to leave early, had family there so we had to go for a visit. See you at the D2D! amateur Posted August 28, 2006 Share Hi Y'all Even though I didn't do as well as I hoped, I had a great time none-the-less. I cramped badly from 13km's in, but finished, yeah for me!! And it was my first 100km race for the year, so better luck next time. It was really nice putting some more faces to names,,,,,, Grapkas, Chilli Pepper, Tazman, Epoh ,,,,,,, nice meeting you all!!! I had a pretty good ride for my first Vets race, finished in 2:47 pulling the chasing bunch most of the way. Congrats to all the winners especially TCS Tandem. scotty Posted August 28, 2006 Share Good result IanJ. I'm in for the half Monty this weekend, but will tackle the full distance on the D2D. I figured that it was either short distance or the rider chose to cut it short. Not sure if they had a timing mat after the 70k turnoff, as previous years, but should be easily sorted out by CC.
