Ja, very embarrashed.

Me and my son decided to ride the yellow route on Schapenberg on Saturday afternoon and we struggled to follow the route. I don't know but there were some markers that we kept missing. Going up we ended at a closed farm gate, we tracked back and eventually found the split going up to the railway line using some tracking skills (lucky there were some MTB tyre tracks to follow).

However, coming down we got lost somewhere because we ended up parallel to the road going to Sir Lowrys Pass Village. We must have lost it after the twisty singetrack coming down. We got to the railway line, crossed it, cycled next to the railway and never found the marker turning right again.

Were is that damn arrow?

Is there an iPone app that I can use for MTB tracks so we don't get lost again?

lemme know when u riding again - i'll show you the routes

Cool, thanks. You might have to take a picnic bag along since you gonna do a lot of waiting. At least my singletrack skills are getting better, although I had a small tumble on the singletrack after a little tree reached out to grab my handlebar.

theres nothing better than taking a slow ride thru ongegund. I went yesterday with an unfit friend and we did the entire black route - albeit very slowly. The views are out of this world and the single track is mind blowing

The route comes back over the train tracks again very close to where you crossed over the first time. The small indicator is on a tree. I also missed it

I had the exact same trouble few months back, definitely not a case of me riding to fast to miss the markers. More likely because of the tears in my eyes from the pain!!
