It's like R40/50 for 500ml. Put it in a cheap spray bottle. Get some Nitrile gloves (the blue ones) from Dischem too (approx R70-80 for 100) and tadaah... you'll feel like a pro when you clean and fix your bike

Those are very good prices, are nitrile gloves quite strong?

I've heard them recommended a good few times for DIY stuff , think I have used them before , they are quite thick/substantial?

The cheap surgical gloves are too weak for bike work, they are not very resistant to anything either.

You can get Parktool ones too... Blue... pretty strong - about the same as a quality surgical glove and do better with solvents.

Get off your laptop and go check out the sites and sounds of your surrounds...

Got the chance to see some sights, most things here either same price or more expensive, although I nearly got a Zee RD for the same price as a SLX locally, problem was it was short cage and they will only get stock on Monday.

Edit: Reduced massive photo

Iso Propyl alcohol could be C3H8O or C3H7OH. Slightly different chemical structures. It is not methylated spirits but is the same as surgical spirits or rubbing alcohol.

Do not apply it through a spray gun indoors. It is flammable and acts as a nervous syetm suppresant and dehydrates your lung tissue if inhaled as a wet vapour. Work with it in well ventilated areas and use gloves. AMT composites in maitland sells boxes of suitable gloves for around R80 a box of 100 pairs. Its good to use a breathing filter (obtain one from a Japanese tourist) when applying via aerosol or spray gun

Not if you are Patches....he use them for everything, from changing a tyre to just pushing the bike out the house.

Going to have to get him some Lavender smelling girlie hand cream for Christmas.... :)

Alternately a decent hand cleaner to use...

pffft! Haters gonna hate!

And no need for the lavender hand cream. I put awesome smelling Johnson&Johnson Hygiene Powder on my hands to help put the gloves on, and keep them dry while working.
