The Momsen sl729 was very well spect has very good specifications, group-set and wheel-set I don't know about the other. Have had my Momsen for 2 years and apart from the slippery Crosssmark in front, I have not changed anything and stiil still going strong.

Fixed it all for you.

So Momsen is a respected brand and can be considered ?

Yes, but from your selection I would opt for the 920.

Great bikes.

Bought a 920 about two months or so ago from Kings Cycles in Worcester for R20k on the dot! Freakn bargain I know. Love the bike. Well specced, although I already changed a few things to bring it down from 11kg to 10kg. Go for Scott, give Johan a shout at Kings.

Best thing to come out of SOUTH AFRICA since the BRAAI DAY was invented

Absolutely LOVE my MOMSEN

Why?

Build quality is way above par

Not trolling, just need clarity on that part.

Above what par?

How do you measure or determine this?

Welding on gussets and joints, tube walls on the inside, carbon joints and lay up, tolerances anywhere something gets pushed in or bolted on, alignment of rear tri-angles on dual suspension frames and general high level of QC of frames that reach shop floor.

To add, on quite few frames you can see cable routing was an after-thought. Some manufacturers even have significant differences in a family model range of how things gets routed and bolted on and even differences in seatpost size and front der spec.

I've seen frames where the bottle cage on the seat tube won't fit a 500ml bottle due to suspension design and frame size, yet they leave the bosses in there.

2013/2014 Momsen frames are good looking and comfortable on long rides. Scott had some issues around the BB and back wheel (some frames had back wheel rub on one side. I would start with a great frame (Momsen), wheels and suspension and upgrade the group when they need replacing.

Only problem is the 2013 Momsen frames only have one bottle cage!
