If this is by the doing of those two dumb fanies then I feel they should fit the bill.

I feel sad for these animals. I work with horses from in my spare time and seeing them get boxed also breaks my heart. They often look so stressed out.

Why don't they tranquilise those bad boys?

 

They do dart them, but giraffe is extremely tricky with unstable blood pressure when they lie down after darting and they die easily in the process. Therefore they blindfold them quickly, attach ropes, then wake them up and steer them into the truck by force. Also, they are near impossible to move when out cold because of their crazy shape, dangly neck and legs. They are probably the most difficult things to translocate. (Perhaps hippo is also?)

 

Looks like a very pro job in the pictures.

Isn't it a case of the males going off by themselves once they reach a certain age, they need to establish themselves, and there is limited space in Groenies.

 

There was some amazing footage of a Giraffe fight in the recent BBC Series "Africa", 1st episode.
