My better half recently bought me the gopro 3 silver and i have just begun to use it.

What im wanting to know( shot in the dark) , is there an app to download for remote, to a blackberry? I know it works on other makes but cant find anything for BB.

Going to be upgrading very soon, so if i have to wait i will. Currently using the 9970.

thanks

I have the black edition and running the app on iphone, in all honesty as nice as the app is, its more a useful tool to "see" if your camera mounting is rght. For remote use, rather spend the cash and buy the go pro remote.

@FCH agree completely, its great app for setting up and checking your shot although most times its unnecessary because of the wide angle, and its better at quickly changing settings....its a bit of a pain flicking between wifi modes as well but for on the fly control, the remote is best especially when you hammering downhill! After you make it to the bottom tho the new app is great to check you last clip (depending on what res you used as it cannot view all resolutions eg WVGA and 2.7K).....

The super wide angle does make the positioning almost fool proof, except when its so wide you catch brake and gear cables hovering around!! Agree on changing settings though, those gopro buttons are stubborn and taking it out if the case each time. @Michael remember to check what your default settings are before filming... Had one to many shots which I believed should be great ones turning out to be a time lapse series of photos...

Be warned the spending doesn't end there!!!!...some many of mounts and bits and bobs for the l'll monster! Without a doubt the best spend is a helmet mount but you should have that in the pack, and the chesty (oh and of course an extra battery and even external battery for those long hauls). The trick to mounting it is to have it as tight as possible and with your head and body dampening all the time, these are the most stable mounts...tried them all....bar, seat, fork, chain stay....all transfer the shuddering almost 100% to the unit. I do have a 360 rotating helmet mount but shoieeee have to be careful with that thing! it was stable tho!

Just have fun with it and you'll be surprised the footage you'll collect!

The black Edition comes out with the wi-fi remote.

For the silver and white editions the remote is, as you say, worth it.
