[Event] Durbanville High School Funride

Great race, but some guys just can't bunch ride. I had a nasty fall, with about 50/45km to go, because of that and thanks to Marshall James for great help. The guy was awesome and very helpful.

Was dizzy for a couple of minutes, and James kept looking out for me and giving advice. Much appreciated, marshalls. All of you, esp James.

Ended up finishing the race and I'm pretty much pleased with my results.

Well done to group G for catching us (E - F) at Paardeberg, actually a bit embarrasing! Only problem then was the group was waaayyyy to big, made for some hair raising moments..

Second highlight was meeting & greeting F.R.A.I.L about 3km from the end

Third highlight for me, finishing with the group, thats a first for me

And lastly, was again impressed by the organisation and enthusiasm of the cheerleaders & volunteers at waterpoints, well done Durbanville High!

Nicely done, Skubarra...

Dunno how FRAIL doesn't overheat with his 'long hair'

Those first 4 as far as I know didn't actually do the long race.

I'm quite sure no one from the V-Z or S-U starting group over took the A bunch...

Davies @ 2:19 in 5th won the race as far as i'm know. Not 100% on this though but we had no breaks untill the last 1km(the last little bump)

I figured as much. 1st place (according to Racetec) did the Argus in 4:22. Figured the winning time might have been a stretch for him. .

Otherwise I seriously want his training program :whistling:

First highlight of the race for me - that weird feeling when you sitting cosily in the middle of a large group, only to look over your shoulder and see a vast open space behind you - never realised we dropped half the group!

Yeah it is a bit embarrassing when the G/H's catch us so quickly, but those sneaky Outriders seem to try it on purpose! And there were a good number of other A and B seeds in with them too. Also my first time to finish with the Group! Good feeling at last!

Those Cedar kids are also going to cause a massive pile-up one of these days!

Don't think they were as organised or as fast as usual yesterday, since i clung on.. I think i will have to join them just for their secret handshake... (Or just start in a later group, which is probably easier)
