duathlon coach?

what do you want to achieve?

all you need to do is run and cycle.

Enter 10km running races, run a good time for your age group. check world champ times for guidance. I think the elites were pushing around 36 min and the older guys were going just over 40min.

Cycle 40km races or TT (40km/hr is a good time)

So the answer is either hang around the tri athletes, (as most of the RSA team this year were ironman triathletes)

or

train on track with the biathle guys, do orienteering, some running races, lots of mtb cycling and have fun.

Oh ja, I forgot how old are you, as this will determine what level you have to train to, as well as the format you race.

Mike at M.A.D Multisport. he is coaching age groupers and elite and mortals 0836661714....Dynamic seems to be a very good option if they in JHB as the local Cape Town People are seeing some awesome results.(I have no affiliation to dynamic :) )

you can try http://cybercoach.co.za/ too.

I raced with Don aka Cybercoach years ago... he is a legend in the sport of Duathlon and probably one of the most experienced coaches around (in addition to one of the most experienced athletes around!) - give him a shout and see what he can offer!

The difference with Dinamic is that they do lactate testing on each individual, and from those results, a program is drawn up. Blood doesn't lie, so your program is truly individual - not a copy and paste exercise.

Yes, my wife is the coach, so I do have an affiliation, but I was a 6:30m/km runner at best 2 years ago, and this year I won the 40-49 category IFLEX duathlon series, on a Dinamic program.
