I would like to know this as well. I asked at a couple of shops recently and the guys looked at me like i was smoking something.

I think Zipp makes something like that. But I do not thisnk it's grease, wich is used to make item move easier, but rather a paste so that the parts don't move.

Yip Mampara that's the stuff. Got a sample from my lbs on friday. It's pienk and when you rub your fingers over it, its rough.

Popeye, that is fine for metal parts but will it be safe for carbon?

Copper slip is not a grease to be used in moving parts. Its basically used as a kind of friction reducer in mostly static parts and is used heavily in the auto trade, an example of its use is its put on the backs of disc brake pads to prevent squeaks, or bolt threads to prevent the nut and bolt rusting / corroding together, on battery terminals to prevent corrosion etc.

Why would you need something special just for carbon bits? The idea behind using grease of some sort with traditional bike bits, is to prevent different alloys "welding" together via oxidation, thus siezing them in place, not so? Surely that can't even happen with carbon? J Boringman, please advise.
