LONG ROUTE

 Cyclists will line up Berg River Boulevard.

 Neutral on Brug Street and turn left into Main Road starting at the Engen Garage.

 Turn left into Treunich Street and left into Berg Rivier Boulevard.

 Exit Paarl in the direction of Wellington via Jan van Riebeeck Drive.

 Just before entering Wellington turn left into Champagne Street followed by a right turn onto the R44 direction Hermon.

 Turn left onto the R46 and cycle up Bothmanskloof Pass at Riebeeck-Kasteel.

 At the T-junction turn left onto the R45.

 3km from the 4way stop, the route will deviate due to road works - Turn left direction Lady Loch following the half-moon loop.

 Turn left onto R45 again.

 At the four - way stop of the R45 /R44 and Champagne Street turn left

 Turn right at the robot heading into Paarl Jan Riebeeck Drive

 At the Langehoven / Market Street Round-about, turn right and then left onto Berg-Rivier Boulevard.

So is your boss going to let you go cycling for 2 hours to go pick up a piece of paper in the middle of your work shift, smartie pants? (unless you are now a bicycle delivery boy, that would be in order I guess!) ;)

I encouraged my Dad to pick up my Paper.

Turns out he went and did a late Entry for the 42km.

I only finished my Shift @ 18h00.

I then Cycled to my Dad to fetch my paper and back home .

Entries closed on 3 November already. Cycleevents and Cyclelab sites list it as closed as well.

Jeez, I hate that stupid Bothmaskloof hill. Dropped my chain at the pump house, had to get off to put it on again, never saw the front of the group again.

Ah, well, could have been worse. At least the wind wasn't too bad.

Really enjoyed this ride today! Got dropped at the top of Bothmas by the big boys in AL but cruised the rest of it with a decent bunch of guys and a lady... 3h 14m...I'll take that most days of the week!
