V12man Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 If we got free sponsored wheels we would finish races at any costs too.... The incremental cost of a new wheel/wheelset is trival compared to the cost/effort of a years worth of Epic prep - it only has to get you a max 20 - 25 k's to the nearest tech station - otherwise your partner has to go and fetch a new wheel for you and that might add 50k extra to his/her ride - anything you do to get yourself closer to the tech station is going to help the team.
