 , i was thinking more like coming down......... prefer gravity helping me

Quite a work out if you go right from the top of Canaries all the way down.

i'd love to go look at the track in the pics.  How do you get to the top if it?  Is this the old downhill that's been revamped?

Normally do Canaries, Never Ending an Fire Hut trail

I happened apon that line last week sat.

We walked up and went notafoook.

I am bit chicken tho ( read this as alot chicken ).

Need some skills improvement and some more confidence since last fall.

Would love to do a sat morning ride with a slowish group.... see the guys take the big hits! get some tips and hopefully no one notices how super unfit I am. :)

Dont worry alot of us are in the unfit boat. Problem is we tend to focus more on coming down than bothering to increase the skills in going up

You take a left at top of Boletus, ride jeep track for a bit then climb up steep hill next to those ramps. Hang a right and ride two more contours of Jeep track. Enter at double black diamond sign. Or do one more contour and you'll be at start of upper canaries.

Then you slam back down the canaries, and hook a right to ride the Wall-ride, and climb to the top of the Double Black. Hook that on the way down, and have the time of your life. All the way down, flow trail, to the coffee shop and smash a beer and sandwich.

Then start the other side - climb climb climb to the quarry (don't go above that cos it's really not worth it) and then ride the best trail on the mountain, IMO - the Fire Hut trail. DAMN, you can get some speed on there!
