I think it is time for Venter to develop a small, light alloy, carbon fibred shell trailer that can fit four bikes with ease.....and it must be cheaper than a standard bike rack. Next would be an option of a side awning, a small air compressor, maybe also a presurised 20l water canister that can act as a pressure cleanse or shower, a side bike clamp with full bike toolset and just for kicks a spintrainer for warm-up sessions before a race. How nice is it to dream.......!

That's just rude and irresponsible telling the guy to leave his kids at home. With the bikes on the back seat there will be space on the bike rack - they can sit there! And bonus is they can wash and clean themselves!

4 trail bikes on the roof on a 2010 Subaru Forester. At 120km/h consumption on average goes up 3 litres per 100kms (normal around 8l/100) depending on the amount of head or side wind. I can live with it.
