Buying new wheelsfor my scott spark 29er.

Last year I ordered a set of wheels of chain reaction cycles and when they got here they didnt fit my bike due to a way the skewer works or something like that?

So what do I need to look for when buying wheels off CRC?

29er - check

MTB - check

Full wheelset - check

what else?

QR - quick release

TA - thru axle

If you have XX1 make sure it's compatible. Have you tried local? Is it really worth getting from CRC?

QR= Quick Release

TA= Through Axle

Also check if the rotor is center locking or bolted to the hub.

Some hubs are convertible between QR and TA, like Hope

That is the one thing to check, what didn't work exactly the last time?

Do some homework on the following standards:

Front wheel - 9mm QR, 15mm through axle and 20mm through axle

Rear wheel - 9mm QR and 12 x 142mm through axle

Then you'll be able to identify what you need to order.

Chritso Willemse just made me a set of 29er wheels. They are awesome and made them to spec after I called them and chatted about what I was looking for. Also only took 1 day for delivery after they were ready.

Give them a try.
