My missus will do the Argus in 3:10. So we will be the "Autobus"

We are thinking of bringing a tandem - I'm not worried about the climbing, but interested to know  what people have done before think about the idea. It's a great category on the Panorama tour.

Then you are in! Our slowest riders will be around 28km/h over the whole Tour.

34- 35km/h is way better than me. I am still adjusting to riding 4-5 days in a row.

 

Doing 4 days the last 2 weeks and the legs tell me its tough.

 

What is a good training plan for the tour - suggested km's per week and to get use to riding 5 days in a row.

Try the old-school approach of two long rides and two interval sessions one longer efforts, one shorter) per week, with rest-rides in between...if it is a good week, do the long rides back to back, but take as much rest as possible before and after an intervally day

 

Shall we ask a coach to offer you a more detailed basic programme?

I am so miffed that I will be missing this. I think I would have been the absolute last cyclist every day but I wanted to kick on from the Panorama (darem first half of the field). Will have to settle for the poor substitute of a double lap "Argus". Next year I will do this AND a double lap. I really hope it goes well so that this becomes a fixture . Good luck!
