New Landy new life Posted January 1, 2014 Share Can one buy the aluminium bracket between frame and derailer as a loose item? It's on my old 9 speed Sram X9 deriler? Bike shops closed so just wondering where I could get just this part. http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee420/Landy1973/IMG-20140101-00199_zps97c7f46e.jpg Edited January 1, 2014 by CapeLandy

New Landy new life Posted January 1, 2014 Share Have you fallen again?!?! Yee of little faith No fall this time, just a big branch went through the derailer and all the bike shops in Newcastle were closed when it broke - back in Cape Town so should have more chance now of finding one. Toon63 Posted January 1, 2014 Share yes I paid R150 for mine a few weeks ago.
Jewbacca Posted January 1, 2014 Share As mentioned before, it is frame specific so go to a dealer or LBS who sells those specific bikes. Otherwise if you can match the code there are 2 companies/suppliers who just sell hangars. Easy to sort out but if no one has your specific frame hangar you will have to wait till Monday when the suppliers re open.... As a matter of interest, what frame is that off? New Landy new life Posted January 1, 2014 Share Merida Matts 2010 HardTail - R150 seems pretty steep.
Flowta Posted January 1, 2014 Share Merida Matts 2010 HardTail - R150 seems pretty steep. From what I've seen, that's about the going rate
Borborygmi Posted January 1, 2014 Share Just buy 3 while you are at it and keep one in your Camelback and one spare at home....Been riding for 8years never needed it. Bought a spare a few weeks ago and my last ride out I broke mine! Boy was I happy I had a spare on me! New Landy new life Posted January 2, 2014 Share Seems my hanger is like hens teeth. Been to 3 shops including CWC and no joy. At the least one bike shop offered to speak to the Merida Rep on Monday and made a tracing of my sample to try and help me out. No riding till next week though - what a bummer. Baroudeur Posted January 2, 2014 Share Try derailleurhanger.com. I have ordered some fairly obscure hangers from them over the years. They stock just about every hanger ever made. Just takes a while to get here form the US though. New Landy new life
New Landy new life Posted January 6, 2014 Share The hanger via USA would have been $22 + 10$ shipping.Thank goodness Bridge cycles opened today and I got two there - case closed, back on the bike.
