Take it you sold your Nago.

Thank goodness, I too was one of those sorely tempted every day.

But good on you for not being caught. Always be a sceptic, nada for nada.

just thought I would pop in here and check and low and behold I see its a popular thing.

just got a call about my bike for sale ( olx ), no questions asked, ready to do a instant transfer

and can I meet in 30 minutes with the bike. all they need is for me to send a sms with my banking

details. so I responded with an sms saying " nice try Mr Scam" and now their phones are off.

told me his son rides for UJ and wants to upgrade. the numbers they used:

084 518 8319

071 917 7456

hope some poor sole dose not get caught out by these chops

What's the point of having all phones Rica'd - and supposedly no phone can work if it is not Rica'd right? How can no-one know who these guys are? Surely the phone companies that love to sell our information to third parties, can provide the police with the ID's to match numbers of scam artists...?!

A huge group of the SA population are excluded from Rica and Fica. Many live in shacks and have no fixed address.

Was trying to sell my Scott Spark and dude calls and also says his son rides for UJ and he saw the bike advertised, that's the bike he wants and he has a race the next day, please send banking details now because he's leaving the office shortly and wants to make payment before he leaves. Received fraudulent sms and email on FNB letterhead, FNB fraud department can do nothing about it. Funny thing is the guy who called doesn't match the name of the account holder to begin with. Quite sure the 084 number is the same if I recall
