Is Strava Premium worth it?

I also did the trial for a month. I reckon the best feature was downloading other people's maps which I could then upload to my watch. Useful for places like the Cheese Farm where you don't know all the routes. I know you can do this from other sites like Garmin Connect but Strava definitely has quite a lot more maps / routes.

 

Is this worth the $10 per month? No, just wait for a free trial.

I do love the fitness and freshness chart... very nice!!... Also the sufferfest video's to your disposal is quite good for indoor training.

I tried the premium version for two months then canned it....didn't really pay any attention to the extra features. You can also look at the leader boards in more detail ie. Age group, wight class etc, still not worth it in my opinion.

The year subscription cost less than a Schwalbe Snakeskin tire or about half a tank of petrol.

I don't have a heart rate monitor or power meter but based on the info given by the free version I'm able to monitor my performance and improve.

I've got Strava premium account, but definitely will not be renew the subscriptions.

 

IMO, Endomondo is better for race-recording & performance tracking (& it supports ANT+ devices if your smartphone has them).

I use Premium during the "racing season" nice to see suffer score and compare certain segments.
