how was the pace..? Pity I couldn't ride got pink eyes.. :(

Weather looks real good no wind in southern suburbs.

Not sure piet, I started in F and sort of made my own pace up as I went along. I think the winning time was around 1.48 or so.

I thought that was a pretty hard race. Boyes drive, Ou Kaapse Weg, Black Hill and then Smitswinkel :S Pretty much a climbers' race. Guys were going balls to the wall over OKW and lots of guys got dropped from the group I was in (including yours truly).

There was chaos close to the end with cyclists having to dodge cars and weave between traffic to get through the course. The traffic officials were doing their best, but it didn't look like they were managing the situation well.

Apart from the end, it was a pretty good race with almost windless conditions.

That was tough after yesterday, got dropped by front of group in E on okw,, caught them by ocean view. Legs coming right. They should brief the marshals a little better about being visible, twice could not see marshal until last second

Hope the wind is better in the morning.

Lovely ride in PERFECT conditions along the most BEAUTIFUL route.

I rode with my 13 year old who handled the tough climbs well but faded somewhat over the last bit from Kommetjie back to Fish Hoek. It gave me a chance to just chill and take the views in, but my time will look pretty bad on the results. Just as well I know there are more important things than that.

That was me, caught C top of Smits and was sort of hoping I would sit in the bunch down to Scarborough but soon realised they needed a bit of help.
