Hi Trance - This looks like a state secret. I'm also looking for a program, but to no success. I called numerous people, all promised and nothing-

We will just have to put in many killo's. I am planning to lift my killo's from around 550 per week to around 700. Mostly @ 70% of max. Will also incorporate some interval training, hill intervals. Please contact me should yuo get something. I will let you know if I get something.

Guys - we can help you. BikeMax has trained over 30 Epic competitors, from beginner to advanced. We have an online system to get your programme to you and to review your uploaded data.

PM me for more details.

i downloaded a training plan from the epic site for tis years tour, dunno if it`s still there though.epic is a biggy, getting a personalised program is a good idea, contact any of the good coaches in your area,a epic rider in their repertoire is a feather in their hat.they should be able to help you

That was a guide that we at BikeMax put together, I am glad it was of use.

It should not replace a personal programme for a race this big however.

  • 3 years later...

Depends if you want to race or finish, finish, you can use the polar program and make sure you  train and ride in the right HR zones, racing go to a specialist Ti-ny2009-11-16 05:58:11

And while we're at it, a free punt for the mechanical services offered by Manic - great service, fantastic prices, and friendly chaps Wink

Pm me an email address, I can email you the polar 12 week schedule, we're basically doing that back to back. But yes, you'll need a HRM that tells you how much time you spend per zone.
