Sorry guys, I tried.

I dont agree. I thought we could start somewhere, and get the privelage for more bunches and races later. The 1st bunch on the road is the most in danger. What will the problem be if I could organise a rolling road closure, it is SAFER. One day a cyclist will crash and fall in front of a fast moving truck. Then I'll make sure PPA get sued bigtime.

GL the PPA is a law unto themselves............I see they've now called a special general meeting to vote whether they stay affiliated to CSA or not!.....not sure what that's about?

They don't provide a reason why rolling road closure can't be TRIED for Saturdays Elites race. Why? You and Ian have made a concerted effort to try and assist. They are not even attempting to be proactive. I say stuff them.......start a rebel league for the racers and lets organise more well organised RACES not funrides like the TdB. GL for president!!!

PS. I concur with your sentiments about a rider falling victim to a nasty accident. Only a matter of time before we wear a little black ribbon.....

In the original greement when the (then) SACF and the PPA agreed to form the CSA, there was a "sunset clause" in the agreement that the PPA could, by a certain date, decide to withdraw from te CSA and go it alone.  This date is now at hand, and the PPA want's its members to decide on the issue.

I agree with GL, this could have been a great start to implement the rolling road closure concept for a league event, if one Traffic Dept was willing to agree to this, I can't see why the others couldn't have followed soon EVEN THE SOUTHERN SUBURBSAngry

Last week was also dangerous with 5 races finishing on a downhill sprint in a single lane of a dual carriage way. Wellington last year some girls were DQ cause there was no space in the single lane for everyone to sprint. I see I have a missed call from tannie Karin, let me go get my hiding.

Marius touched on my personal peeve, the finishes for a lot of rides mostly where leagues are concerned are not given enough thought.

Fast finishing races where the route is likely to have upwards of 20 riders sprinting for the line should not be siphoned into a single lane from two lanes before the line.

This is another big accident waiting to happen and although a lot lower priority to rolling closures, a point I wanted to emphasise none the less.

lunchtime, tel nie op nie. mooimusiek, cut off! e mail is better, i cant post the phone conversation on the hub. but it will be along the lines of " why do you discuss this on a public forum? rather talk to us, and anyway, thats our rules..."

Selfs Lilo praat nie meer hier, want hy maak haar mal.

hulle lees dit almal, even lawrence cornered me the other nite, asking why i talk against him on the hub.

so the blonde works for the people that organised the worlds view, wonder if she also changed the sprint to a single lane 4 hunter and co.
