SilverCracker Posted January 23, 2014 Share My brother bought this bike +- 16 years ago for R1500-00. The thing is, I don’t know who made it or what brand it is. All indication that I have is on the front fork it says "Okuma Shockwave HP3"Apart from the bent rear wheel, old non repairable rear derailleur, everything works fine. Planning on turning it into a fixie.

SilverCracker Posted January 23, 2014 Share My initial thought aswell, but they did not have Shimano V-Brake speed shifters on back then...
braailegend Posted January 23, 2014 Share Looks like your standard issue game/dion/makro bike (The crank, threaded headset and front black V-brake all the supermarket variety) , only exception is the aluminium, they're usually steel. Think mongoose had a shape like that around that time. Maybe a copy of that. Will work fine as Fixie, with the slot dropouts
Shebeen Posted January 23, 2014 Share That does indeed look like a hyperama special, and not boutique Trek style Y-frame. I love the bottle placement option. I'm guessing a raleigh m-trax probably went for about R200-300 at Makro back then.

Shimano have a very low entry level bracket aswell Edit: Something like this, the slot dropout is indication that it used a slot dropout type of derailleur, up side is now you can run SS http://www.babygiftsoutlet.com/images/medium/shimano-rear-derailleur-with-bracket_BG05660.jpg Edited January 23, 2014 by braailegend
