BicycleSafetySA represented by Summit Cycles on Mix938FM every week

For those who don't know - Bicycle Safety SA was created a few years ago by four individuals who desperately wanted something to be done to alert fellow cyclists of the spate of bicycle related hijackings, dangerous areas, stolen bicycles, road safety, etc. Using all means available at the time, it was decided to use the available social media platforms and the group was created to generate awareness and discussion around all aspects of cycling safety in South Africa.

From next week Thursday, a once a week cycling show on @Mix938FM with @AntonDangle (from Summit Cycles representing @BicycleSafetySA) and @Saskiavsa, a 10-15 minute discussion on what we love.

More information of the exact times will follow, watch this space and follow @bicyclesafetysa for up to date tweets https://twitter.com/bicyclesafetysa or if you don't have twitter and you are on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/bicyclesafety/

The followers who retweet a post to all their followers or the posting of an incident to alert @bicyclesafetysa has a tremendous influence in creating discussion and awareness. @BicycleSafetySA is a means to connect all of us together. Now with radio, another tool is added to create more discussion and awareness

I think that when some drivers buy their licences the least that the scum selling them could do is give a free copy of the K53 learners book so they at least know the rules of the road to start.

What time will it be on air?

Wow, this is a great opportunity to ensure more widespread awareness for bicycle safety. Good luck Anton.

I have to say, I am very proud to call Summit Cycles my LBS.

It would be great if this brings more awareness to cycling safety I am tired of reading

Another cyclist down

Another cyclist stabbed

Another cyclist killed

And so on, our sport we love deserves better headlines, can't wait for the day when I think to myself " Shiite it's been long TIME since I heard of some or other incident "

THAT WILL BE A GOOD DAY
