Have a look see what riders are saying about the trails at Rhebokskloof. Based on an online rating system of 5 stars.

4.7 rating from 109 riders so far, not toooo shabby ;]

(The ratings and comments are gained from recent events at RHEBOKSKLOOF WINE ESTATE. Will make the rating system available to non-event riders ASAP)

Hi Louis

Have you spoken to the guy who gave it 2 stars?....He is bringing your average down and must have misread your question??

How are the trails standing up to more riders using it and what happened to the gopro footage of the whole trail??

Keen to ride one of these trails on Saturday but as doing the Boekart Soenen on Sunday I dont want to hurt my (freshly massaged) legs. Anyone know the various trails' ascent?

I always access from the Mountain side where endomondo says the ascent is 560m. The FM Tower in the mountain is quite high (higher than the top point of the RBK trail). Guestimate would be about 450m if you start from RBK. Spin it out and enjoy the downhill sections, you should be sufficiently amped post ride for the next days event ;]

Hey Louis, stupid question... the last time I came from the reserve was aaaages ago as part of a PMTB group ride. Since then I've ridden from the bottom.

Are there any route markers from the reserve? I know exactly where to enter from the reserve roads and felt like riding down there plenty of times, but do not want to upset the land-owners if I inadvertently take a wrong turn. Yes, I do have an annual permit, not a roofkyker!

Will just add great benefit to me if I can approach it from there and "exit" the mountain via Rheboks...

There are route markers right at the top. Coming from the tower you turn right about 3km past the tower. Go around the side of the gate and then all the way straight and you will see the signs to turn into the singletrack. All legal and allowed.

What Johny said ; ] and check the access on Google Earth here: http://app.endomondo.com/workouts/471723435/1641431

As the Cave on the single track up is only rideable by the more experienced/technically advanced rider a "chicken-run"will apparently be constructed in the next week or two to bypass the Cave.

This will result in a 100m or so shorter and easier single track up to lookout point 1 as well as make the wear and tear on the Cave section less.

The S-bend after the Cave, which is also showing signs of serious wear, will be reconstructed/bypassed to become more user friendly to the average mountainbiker.

Looking forward to the upgrades!

Also, why not leave the existing trail an just add the easier lines. Would be a shame if Rhebokskloof became completely dumbed down (it's hardly technical as it is).

Took my wife there about three weeks ago, but there was a Nedbank event on, so had to go and ride Welvanpas.

We're amped to come through to Rhebokskloof sometime as well though.

Would it be worthwhile to wait until some more rain has fallen so that the tracks can be fixed up a bit?

We ride Meerendal, Bloemendal and Majik very often and at the moment they're quite loose, don't want the wife to fall :D
